All sensitive information, including personal data, remains confidential through the use of encryption. SSL certificates ensures that the Pagamento Virtual servers are authenticated to the client. This means the client is confident that they are exchanging data with Pagamento Virtual and that information can only be exchanged between the Company and the customer; no third parties will have access to this data. The page that takes payment information will have a https url and a padlock icon will appear on the browser to indicate that the page is protected by this security system.
Credit Card Security
Using your credit card to make purchases through our website is a secure way to pay. All sensitive information, including credit card details are ciphered using a 256-bit key encryption ensuring that no third parties have access to such data. Typically, the customer’s browser displays a padlock to indicate that a page is protected by this security system. To ensure further security, our website does not cache any payment or personal information following a transaction. For added protection, we ask for the security code on your card when we make the payment; on most cards, including Visa and Mastercard, this code consists of the last three digits printed on the back of the card, next to the signature strip. On American Express cards, the code has four digits printed on the front of the card, above the main number.

Application Architecture and Database
The Pagamento Virtual System is designed to operate as a web platform. The system was developed using Oracle databases, recognized as one of the strongest on the market. The production platform is Java running on Oracle servers , ensuring minimum response times, performance and scalability. All communication between systems, both between Pagamento Virtual and the Financial Institutions, and between Pagamento Virtual and customers is done via SSL over HTTP, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information through an encryption algorithm used for worldwide communication of confidential data.
